We had such a great time! Thank you Tricia!! We loved our nice bungalow especially being able to see from our bed the red sun rising off the sea! And the amazing traveller tree in the garden, the armadillo, the pineapple trees, the flowers, the delicious fruits for breakfast, and your fantastic jokes!! We had so much fun on the boat tour in the lagoon or watching Casper making his beautiful fishing boat on the shore and always in the evening with your excellent food and humor. See you again!!

The Chicken Died

Last Night Father Dominic brought me my Royal chickens they are Polish chickens they where 4 beauties I introduced them to the dogs they all seemed fine with them as they have lived with my fat hens before except Zanadu. She of course wanted to bite them. That Pit bullthing , thats why I love labs nicer mouth to hold a chicken in. I tucked them away in their chicken condo on the beach, left them in their box and locked the gate, I had checked on them at mid night as I was doing the water thing as usual, I peaked in on them and they all where sleeping, in the morning Rich woke me to a bad begining 3 dead, ugly dead, chewed chickens in their area with ants all over. I did hear the dogs barking and had forgot i had chickens should have checked already did the wake up do the watwer back to bed once so I forgot about them in my REM sleep. Then as the dirt truck came to remove the garbage Ron pulled up and he found zanadu trying to bury the fourth under the kitchen window, the one we couldn’t find. St Frances I have l name her, she is in shock, looks like shit since she was all dirty from being buried. A little Reki TLC she will live I hope. She is moving and chirping a good sign I learned how much to feed them 3 pounds in a week we where feeding the chickens 25 pounds weekly, no wonder they where so fat. Miss the ladies they loved to go to lunch!

I am having Ron put in new windows for me so must go see if he needs anything

Wow! what can I say??? All I have from my time at Kismet are thousands of happy memories. From the beautiful beaches to the incredible food, dolphins jumping in the sea, freshly baked bread, freshly caught fish, trying to grow tomatoes, swimming in the warm sea, meeting all the other incredible visitors and most importantly getting to know Tricia. I have never met before such an excentric, entertaining, hospitable, kind and thoughtful host. Tricia, thank you for making my stay in Hopkins, and in Belize truly unforgettable.

Wow, kismet inn, a fabulously located guest house with a monstrous amount of character! The 2 months at kismet we helped build a veggie garden, re-thatched the balcony with palm leaves from the local jungle, swam with barracudas and a mass of other tropical fish in the warm caribbean seas! The bread was fantastic, The village and surrounding areas are rich in garifuna culture, tricia and elvis are the best and most genuine of people you will ever meet! Thank you for entering our life! xx

What great time! The food, fishing, beach, Elvis, Barbara, Tricia, and Willie! Great time at Kismet Inn. It was a real taste of the local life that we could not experience anywhere else. It was a one of a kind experience. To future guest, if you’re exciting and having enough fun, Tricia has been known to sing and dance! Thanks for letting us stay with you.
