This was Kismet for sure. Even ïf we only stayed for 2 days the impression from this place and the people will stay if not forever so at least for a VERY long time. A place with so much heart is hard to find. If you then add nice accommondation on the beach, great food in company of interesting people, surroundings you can explore by boat, hiking or by bycykle, what more can you ask for?? Take care Tricia and Elvis! Anneli & Göran

Well be back!!!

We want to say thank you for the wonderful time we had at Kismet. At first we where not sure if Kismet was for us to stay as long as we did. It was the best part of our whole vacation! We had little money and with the 2 kids traveling it has been very expensive there in Belize. You at Kismet made it happen so smoothly. Telling us “Not to Worry”

We loved cooking in your kitchen, everything we needed and then some you had and where always so understanding and helpful adding more spice to my bland dinners. We enjoyed all the meals at your table and especially the last night’s lobster’s dinner with everyone else who was staying who all 10 happened to be from France too. It was nice to speak french again.

The 9 Manatee that we swam with right in front of kismet will be a life time story telling for us and the kids. We never heard of a Manattee, so happy you told and showed us them on the computer, the kids was very impressed to swim with an endangered species. This was our fist day and it only got better. The snorkeling and fishing was fantastic we are still telling our friends how many gropers Artsy caught at one spot and how I caught the biggest fish, first time using a drop line.

Having the fish on the grill that we all caught was a nice way to end our trip to the Caye’s.The mango marinade for the fish was spectacular. I Would love the recipe. Then to go snorkeling the next day and swim with 12 dolphins was even more rewarding. Every day just got better. The trip to the Jaguar Preserve, seeing the paw prints and the tube ride in the river after the hike was all you said it would be, fun enjoyable, and rewarding.

Just wanted to say thank you for all your hospitality, and getting us to the bus on time with a coffee and the homemade bread to go. The kids loved the puppies, Casanova and BB King are very well trained and want 2 just like you have. Your First French Family…

The Most Memorable Place

Name: Gill & Phil

Country: UK/AUSTRALIA
We stayed with Tricia and Elvis last year (end April 2007) during our mammoth tour of North, Central and South America. Kismet Inn was the most memorable accommodation of the trip, not least because Trish is wonderfully hospitable and madly eccentric! Loved the rustic charm and great food. Also, there was a slight incident with the outdoor shower and I had to be rescued by Elvis, who was most polite and chivalrous! Top thumbs up, for a unique and charming holiday experience!

Kismet Inn was by far and away the best place we stayed during the entire 6 weeks of travelling in Central America. Tricia went out of her way to make us feel at home and help us set up fishing trips. The food’s great and the company is even better! Thank you so much!

Really nice place by the ocean with welcoming people. A place that makes you feel like home and which has the best bread of Latin America! If you go fishing and you catch a fish, Trisha would be happy to cook it for you and we can tell that it’s delicious :-) In short, we had such a good time that it was hard to leave! We’ll be back!

A great experience at Kismet in Hopkins, Belize

Thank you, Tricia. While travelling Belize, Hopkins was an incredible find…the Garifuna culture, local drum circles, learning to dance to punta rock, local foods. Then walking the beach one day I wandered up to the Kismet Inn. This was the most incredible find of all. After ten minutes talking to you and the gang and I felt so totally laid back I stayed…great food, great laughs, funky decor. You didn’t offer me a 5 star resort, you offered 5 star fun. Someday I hope to return.
